We also have a "pastor in training", Daniel Hufeisen, who, as well as sharing some of Peter's responsibilities, is also in charge of youth work.
Peter and Daniel are part of a team of elders who are officially in charge of running the church. Responsibility for day-to-day activities, from organising home groups to making coffee on Sundays, from leading worship to running Sunday school classes is shared out to all members of the church.
Elia is a free evangelical church, that nevertheless is part of the Bavarian Evangelical-Lutheran church. Whilst that may sound complicated, simply said it means that our church has a modern style both in worship and in general atmosphere (you won't find our pastors in robes), yet weddings and baptisms performed by the church are officially recognised.
